Where do things stand right now?
Big Canoe has purchased the property at 406 Sanford Ave and is trying
to raise money to pay for the mortgage and operating cost. With a $39,900
purchase price, a 10% down payment was raised from participants to buy
the property. Most donors gave between $20 to $1,000, but smaller and
larger donations are also welcome. If you are interested in contributing
to this effort, please fill out the donate form
and return it to Bryce
Oates.
Are my donations tax deductible?
Yes. Big Canoe is currently a sponsored project of the Family Farm Opportunity
Center, a 501©3 nonprofit organization that supports sustainable
agriculture, energy and forestry efforts in rural Missouri.
How can I get involved?
Big Canoe is looking for everyone to get involved in the sustainable foundation
of this community. Because our vision is so large for Columbia your sustainable
energy has a place in this organization. Please attend one of our monthly
meetings (first Tuesday of each month at 7:00) or weekly work groups.
